29 August to 9 September 2010 is Legacy Week in Australia
Legacy is an organisation founded in 1923 dedicated to caring for families of deceased veterans.
Many members of the AEF are current or ex-serving members of the Australian Defence Force or come from ADF families.
Please show your support for the sacrifices made by Australian Defence Force personnel and their families this year by donating whatever you can spare and spreading the word to friends and colleagues, in emails, forums, blogs, and social networking websites you have access to, like Facebook, Twitter and Youtube.
Reinforcements using Guarded Waypoints and Triggers
I've been making missions since Operation Flashpoint and I was curious as to what the Guarded By Triggers and Guard Waypoints actually are used for.
In short, they are the simplest way to put down reinforcements of objectives. This link (http://community.bistudio.com/wiki/Waypoint:Guard) has everything you need to know about Guarded Waypoints and Triggers.
So if you've been using my Reinforcements script, make sure you read up about these, as you may not need an scripting to achieve what you want.
Combat Team Bravo
Sorry guys - the majority of my time at the moment, is setting up AEF Combat Team Bravo!

Once its all completed, I can get back to mission making and scripting. In the meantime, if you were part of the CreoBellum infantry training and nights, we're basically migrating everything to CTB.
Click here if you wish to join the team!
preprocessFile vs preprocessFileLineNumbers
Something I learnt today - always use preprocessFileLineNumbers as it contains debug information to assist in finding errors in your code.
Almost ready for new release!
Well, I've been working hard to re-release my two missions and hopefully a new one, all ACE'd up and a little less intensive than before.
I've noticed I have a memory leak in my code, so I have continued to break apart my scripts into components and this has proven to be perfect for identifying the memory leak (as well as other little bugs I hadn't noticed before).
So yes, its taking a little longer but hell, this code should be stable once I'm done with it.
Website Update
Performed a Drupal update tonight only to find it was pretty major and some stuff ain't looking so hot!
Bad news is, I'm on a road trip this weekend, so I won't get around to fixing it for a few days!
creoBellum Nights are back!
So we've got our first creoBellum night in ages (I think 3 months yeah?)! Looking forward to it. Will be good to see some activity again and if we can make a regular drill night out of it.
Still working on missions, having a few bugs that won't go away, but hopefully I can start releasing some content again, as it has also been a while.
TvT Mission - Update 2
Finally ready for testing. I'll put it up on one of the AEF servers tonight for a bit of a run if anyone is interested!!
Quiet on the Western Front
Things have really gone quiet here these last few weeks.
Delta's come up with a new mission concept.
I had started Operation Egg Banjo a while back, which I haven't been able to work on since.
Willie has put efforts into a TvT mission on Quesh Kibrul which I was helping him with - again, ground to a halt.
Odin has a hold and defend mission which I believe is almost finished.
I've even had WallyJas asking me mission development questions, which I just can't find the time to respond to unfortuntately.
TvT Mission - Update 1
So tonight work began on Willie's TvT mission. Willie's fortified a few cities around Quesh-Kibrul and we had a quick fly around of his work so far, all looking very classy. Basic premise of the mission will be Advance and Secure, based on destruction of enemy assets.
Started work on squad and weapon loadouts tonight. We're using the ACE Wounding system, so plenty of bandages and morphine to go round. Aiming for 32 v 32 players, so it will be interesting. Up to 18 players on BLUFOR and we'll start work on 18 players of OPFOR over the next few days.
