There is an exciting project that I'm going to start work on soon - Noubernou's Distributed AI (http://forums.bistudio.com/showthread.php?t=117775).
The project consists of two parts, which I will be applying to Multi-Session Operations within the next few weeks.
Firstly, the use of enabledSimluation to "cache" units outside of player ranges. This is a much more simpler method than what I currently use, which is the deleteion and recreation of groups outside player radius. I will be providing this method as an alternative and it will allow direct side-by-side comparison of performance improvements of the same heavily server resource mission.
The second part, is the distribution of AI processing to a connected ARMA client. I will begin by trying to off-load all Ambience scripting to a networked client and compare performance once again.
