Operation Short Stop

Status: DRAFT

Brief: I had originally designed a mission on Arma 1, that was very loosely based on the Battle of Long Tan. I'm thinking that I'll flesh that idea out to spread over 6 missions into a campaign.

Phase 1 - The Landing : From the aircraft carrier, establish a beach landing against well defended coast line, including light armour and minimal air defenses.

Phase 2 - Establishing FOB: Once the base is setup, perform patrols of the area. Discover large gathering of enemy forces in dense forrest.

Phase 3 - Hold Your Ground: Enemy attempts to push you out of FOB with heavy assault including heavy armour, mortars and air transported troops.

Phase 4 - Seek and Destroy: Send out patrols to find the mortar sites and ask civilians about enemy whereabouts. Locate enemy FOB.

Phase 5 - Overnight Sabotage: Sabotage enemy FOB in cover of darkness and numbers. Destroy supplies and heavy armour.

Phase 6 -Defend The Perimeter: Defend against second enemy onslaught against heavy armour, mortars and strong air attacks.

I think the setup of Crystal

I think the setup of Crystal Breach is very similar to it. Just reading that Odin might be able to help out. Likewise, Willie could lay down the basics on the map. I'm almost hesitant to put any effort into it until I have Crystal Breach out of the way.

I'm hoping that once two missions are completed, rolling out missions should be quite streamlined, and I should be able to roll them out quicker.

Yes, everyone is welcome to

Yes, everyone is welcome to put down objects on a map as a start to a mission. If they go a step further and put down markers of where the enemy shuold be, I can populate enemy positions, patrols and reinforcements very easily.
